All volunteers get free entry to the Opening Party, and the opportunity to screen print your very own SDF 2019 swag at our Sneak Peek event on August 8. Volunteering during the Festival is an excellent opportunity to meet other design-minded folks and get more involved in the Seattle design community.

Get behind the scenes and meet other like-minded designers and design enthusiasts while planning and producing events for our regional community and beyond.

Sign up to receive our Enews. We’ll post future open calls for volunteers here!

*Design in Public is not able to hire a photographer to cover all of the festival’s 100+ events and installations, so we often ask volunteers to take nonprofessional candid photos to document and describe the festival to future participants. We value the work of professional photographers and do hire them for our Design in Public produced events as much as we can.

    – Create a more livable Seattle through this shared vision, demonstration and celebration

    – Build a stronger and more cohesive Seattle design community

The best reason to volunteer is having fun and knowing that you’ve had a positive and influential effect upon the city you love to live in and on the design movement!
