We all use (and trust) our senses daily in order to navigate, respond to and survive in our environments. The senses provide the data from which we process and form our perception. Signals that move through our nervous system are a result of a stimulation from within our body and it is from this information that our brain makes inferences about the physical environment. We have no reason to distrust our senses as we rely on them for survival and sensory experience, but in reality one’s experience is the brain’s best interpretation within a certain context. Using space, materiality, and sound, this installation creates an immersive, sensory environment that forces one to question whether or not our senses are as trustworthy as we think.
