Thank you for your participation in our annual Benefit Breakfast! We are amazed at the generosity of our community and are honored to receive your support. We’ve raised $24,998 so far – your generous gift is a huge vote of confidence in our mission.
While coming together via computer pixels is not what we had originally envisioned for the event, over 100 attendees joined us for this first ever “virtual” fundraising breakfast – a celebration of the tenth year of Seattle Design Festival. Our keynote speaker, Ana Pinto Da Silva, brought us profound integrity, passion, a deep belief in servant leadership, and a love for her community. And our breakout sessions, led by Jeremy Reding and Rob Deane, allowed us to imagine our best futures and apply our creative thinking to the pertinent questions that our society now faces.
During Ana’s keynote, which you can watch here, she challenged us to employ our talent and empathy to:
– Center the needs of under-served populations
– Do the personal work necessary to enable transformational change
– Navigate through the inherent danger of this crisis to find our way to higher, more sure ground to a place where equity is normal, and the full brilliance of our collective human potential can shine forth, each bright light illuminating the path forward towards a brighter, more beautiful tomorrow
If you weren’t able to attend, but still would like to support Design in Public, our donation page is still ‘live’. Help us reach our goal of $33,000!!
