Q: What does BALANCE mean to you when you think about design?

FM: Balance is an attitude, a research for the best way to express yourself in the design process while struggling with the constraints.

Q: What do you predict is going to be BIG in 2019 in terms of design?

FM: The sustainability issue is going to be BIG in 2019, meaning the consciousness of designing better for a better quality of life and time.

Q: How do you explain what you do for a living?

FM: We’re trying to tell stories about design, never told before, about people and behind-the-scenes landscapes.

Q: What are your go-tos when you’re seeking inspiration?

FM: Getting bored. Having some empty time is the best way to find inspiration.

Q: Tell us about a project that you worked on that you are most proud of.

FM: I’m very proud of the “The Power of the Archive. Renzo Piano Building Workshop.” A 35-minute film, it delves into the archive of the Renzo Piano Foundation and Studio. A place of experimentation, the RPBW archive is a metaphor for a sea-port; where goods come and go, each enriching its content and potential communication.
