Schemata Workshop
1720 12th Ave, Seattle WA 98122
This event is free

Presented by:

  • Schemata Workshop

  • Schemata Workshop’s co-founding principal and cohousing expert, Grace Kim, will give an expanded version of her 2017 TED Talk on cohousing and community as an antidote to social isolation. A cohousing exhibit will be on display within the architecture firm’s office, and a tour of the upstairs Capitol Hill Urban Cohousing development will follow her talk. Meanwhile, Schemata Workshop will be actively engaging the Capitol Hill neighborhood with a PARK(ing) Day parklet featuring a range of activities and opportunities for connection. We intend to share the concepts of cohousing, of living collaboratively with your neighbors, and of eating together, and how such intentional actions can create social cohesion while building strong communities.
